Manga World's End Harem is officially adapted into an anime

Along with the fourth anniversary of the series, the official Twitter account for the manga by LINK and Kotaro Shono, “Shuumatsu no Harem“ / ”World's End Harem” announced their anime project. This anime adaptation will air in 2021. Details such as the broadcast season, voice actors, staff, visuals and the promotional video have yet to be revealed. However, an illustration of this project celebration has been released by Kotaro Shono.

Main synopsis of Shuumatsu no Harem:

Male Killer Virus: a dangerous disease that kills 99.9% of the world's male population. Mizuhara Reito has been in a cryogenic sleep for the past five years, leaving behind Tachibana Erisa, the girl of his dreams. When Reito awakens from the frozen space, he appears in a new, sex-mad world where he himself is the most valuable resource on the planet. Reito and the other four boys are given a luxury and a simple mission: increase the world's population by impregnating many women as fast as possible! What Reito wants, unfortunately, is to find his idol girl, Erisa, who has been missing since three years ago. Can Reito resist temptation and find true love?

Manga Shuumatsu no Harem / World's End Harem was launched by LINK and Kotaro Shono on May 8, 2016 on the Shounen Jump + website. The manga has sold more than 4 million copies as of July 2019. The manga is also licensed by several publishers from South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, France, United States, and Italy. Shuumatsu no Harem has also received various types of censorship in its respective release countries, due to its fairly explicit adult content.

A drama CD adaptation was released on May 28, 2017. Voiced by Yoshitaka Yamaya, Itou Shizuka, Akasaki Chinatsu, Tomoe Tomiyasu, Yuu Asakawa, Sarah Emi Bridcutt, and others took part in this project. The drama CD was released for nine consecutive days, and has the option of sexual content from the characters. Listeners need to use special keywords to access this content and it is only available in limited quantities.

The spinoff manga entitled "Shuumatsu no Harem: Fantasia" began appearing in Ultra Jump magazine on May 20 2018 and was created by SAVAN using a story from LINK. Shueisha has published its fourth volume on January 5, 2020. As of the end of last year, the manga has sold more than 200,000 copies.

Another spinoff manga entitled "Shuumatsu no Harem: Fantasia Gakuen" will start serialization in Ultra Jump magazine on May 19, 2020. Mangaka series "Kouotsu Shoujo", Andou Okada will draw this new spinoff series.
